Hey Ya'll

You know those nights at the bar when you catch yourself staring. Maybe it's a handsome man or a beautiful woman leaning over the bar, or maybe it's your best friend's tree trunks for legs. It's not always sexual, sometimes it's just plain weird, like a tractor beam sucking you in. Something about beer just makes you ponder about things, yuh know?

The drunker you get the more you wonder about how they got so put together. Here at Cheers to You, we call this the Johnny Drama Syndrome(JDS).

If this is you take our advice. The bartenders are there to pour you drinks and provide some sought after advice in this world from time to time. Let me tell you, Missy or Patrick will tell you that you're onto something or you're full of crap. It's the quickest way to find out.

But if Johnny Drama from Entourage were walk into Cheers to You Midvale, this is probably what we'd tell him. Because, of course, we know our shit.

Make sure you vary the amount of reps.

- muscles can get too comfortable in a rep range, and you’re more likely to plataeu if your body gets too used to one set type.

Get full contraction and full stretch.

- Muscle and Fitness says this will considerably intensify the repetition.

Utilize 3 foot positions for that ice-cream cone look Johnny loves.

- straight on: this position exercises the center of the muscle.

- toes-out: this position exercises the inside of the muscle.

- toes-in: this position gets around the outside of the calf.

There are two main muscle groups in your calves: the Gastrocnemius and the Soleus. Consider them both when building tree trunks for legs.

- when standing the Gastrocnemius and Soleus are usually worked together,

however when seated it will be your Soleus only.
